3 November. Gü Puds, the UK’s leading premium chilled dessert brand, will create around 100 jobs in Bishop’s Stortford when it opens a new site there next year.

The 100,000 sq ft facility is expected to open in summer 2017, and will be used for production of Gü Puds, as well as technical, supply chain and warehouse functions.

Gü Puds, part of The Noble Foods Group, is widely credited with introducing the UK to restaurant-quality desserts that can be enjoyed in the home. Since launching in 2003, Gü has been a British success story, and the company is not only the market leader in the UK, but has a growing presence in France and Germany.

Located on Dunmow Road, the factory marks the next chapter of Gü’s expansion plans and will use the latest supply chain techniques. Work has already begun, and Gü expects the site to be fully operational by summer 2017.

Sarah Baldwin, Managing Director of Gü Puds says: “We’re delighted to be setting up operations in the historic town of Bishop’s Stortford. Not only does the new site give us room to grow, it’s located close to our London HQ and near to the M11 making it an excellent logistics hub.”

She continues: “Over the coming months we’ll be recruiting for all kinds of positions, from junior to senior level. Anyone who is interested in joining the team should email careers@gudesserts.com.”
