The UK’s largest egg company restructures its Board of Directors as part of its accelerated growth strategy

John Gildersleeve has been appointed Chairman of Noble Foods Group, the UK’s largest egg business and brand owner of Gü, the UK’s leading premium chilled dessert brand. John Gildersleeve will oversee the implementation of an ambitious growth strategy for diversification and acquisition ensuring the long-term prosperity of the business.

John Gildersleeve, a highly regarded Director who has supported the growth of some of the UK’s best-known companies, spent 20 years on the Board of Tesco during its period of rapid expansion which made it the envy of the supermarket sector. Currently he is the Chairman of British Land PLC, a FTSE top 50 property company, and Deputy Chairman of TalkTalk Telecom. John Gildersleeve was formerly a non-executive director of Vodafone Group PLC, Lloyds TSB and Dixons Carphone, and chairman of New Look and Carphone Warehouse.

Following a number of senior management appointments across the Group, Noble has restructured its Board of Directors to support its long term ambitions in the UK and overseas. Alongside John Gildersleeve’s appointment, Noble has also appointed Tim Morris as Company Secretary. Tim brings a wealth of experience in corporate finance, including delivering ambitious strategic plans.
