Working as part of the Transport Team undertaking the following duties:

  • Follow all signs, rules and standards when on the property of suppliers/customers
  • Notify the Transport management team of any damage or defects on vehicles
  • Protect the value and integrity of product through attentive driving and correct storage (secure and chilled where appropriate)
  • Ensure that he/she is ready to commence work at the defined start-time and that ongoing issues are properly passed over to the oncoming administrator at the end of a shift.
  • Concur with the company dress-code at all times, including the wearing of safety-shoes (and hairnets when in the factory).
  • Foster a constructive relationship with all departments and ensure lines of communication are open.
  • Conduct any necessary training required for the role. The jobholder should be prepared to work in different areas of the department as required.
  • Be mindful of product quality, integrity and traceability. Ensure work is completed to a high-standard, and all necessary documentation is  completed. Report any concerns to the relevant line manager
  • The operation is committed to being “audit-ready” at all times. Therefore it is imperative that site hygiene, health & safety, and document control are all in line with customer specifications at all times.
  • Maintain a respectful and constructive working relationship with colleagues and managers.
  • If  required on occasions provide assistance within other areas of the business such as loading / unloading vehicles, shunting, gritting and so on.
  • To check vehicle roadworthiness and conduct minor repairs.
  • Dock and undock trailers / vehicles from the loading bays as required.
  • Ensure that all areas of the distribution department are clean, safe and clear from debris.

 

The Candidate:

You will have extensive driving experience, preferably within the food industry and as minimum must hold a C + E HGV licence and ideally a current driver CPC

Please note these roles are on a variety of shifts and a degree of flexibility will be required.

Packaging Operatives (Day Shift), Standlake, Oxfordshire

We are currently recruiting for Packaging Operatives to join our day shift teams in our Packaging Centre at Standlake.

Role Responsibilities

As part of this role the candidate will be required to:

  • Support the Team Leader to achieve excellent service levels to the production department
  • Ensure that all packaging lines are safely stored in the correct areas
  • Ensure the warehouse presentation standards are maintained
  • Responsible for the recycling of waste packaging ensuring it is completed at regular intervals throughout the shift
  • Load & unload vehicles as required
  • Count and record stock levels

Ungraded Team Leader (Late Shift), Standlake, Oxfordshire

We require an Ungraded Team Leader to join our team, working in our busy Free Range egg packing centre at Standlake.

Essential Duties and Responsibilites

As part of this role the candidate will be required to:

  • Follow the company Health & Safety guidelines
  • Manage the Ungraded operative team to ensure that trailers are tipped correctly and completed in time for production
  • Ensure product is despatched with the correct paperwork and loaded correctly
  • Ensure that warehouse organisation is adhered to (walkways, product zones etc.)

  • Assist the Ungraded Manager in performance and disciplinary procedures where required

Production Operatives, Standlake, Oxfordshire

We are currently recruiting Packaging Operatives on all shifts, who will report into the Production Team Leaders. Each Operative will be required to support the Team Leader with general day to day running of the Production department and work on a shift pattern basis.

 Role Responsibilities

As part of this role the candidate will be required to complete:

  • Support the Team Leader to achieve excellent service levels.
  • Under instruction from the Machine Controller/ Relief Shift Manager work with fellow colleagues to achieve production targets and maximise efficiency.
  • Ensure they are ready to commence work at the defined start-time and prepared to work in any area of the operation.
  • Ensure that product is rotated to minimise waste
  • Carefully follow the hygiene plan, as outlined by the Machine Controller/ Relief Shift Manager, to ensure that both routine and periodic deep cleansing activities are completed to schedule and to the required standards.
  • Carry out duties and tasks within the grading process as instructed
  • Attend any necessary training required for the role
  • Work in any area within the production process as required
  • Identify areas of inefficiency and waste and suggest improvements to the Machine Controller/ Relief Shift Manager

Warehouse Order Picker/Loader, Standlake, Oxfordshire

We require Warehouse Order Pickers/Loaders to join our team, working in our busy Free Range egg packing centre at Standlake in Oxfordshire. The following shifts are available:

08:00 – 17:00 Sunday to Thursday

08:00 – 17:00 Tuesday to Saturday

06:00 – 18:00 Sunday/Monday/Thursday/Friday

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The following is a list of core responsibilities to be completed by the jobholder. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Work with the team leader and other operatives to ensure that orders are picked correctly and completed in time for planned despatch
  • Ensure that the product is rotated to minimise waste
  • The jobholder should be open to working in different areas of the warehouse department as required
  • Working in the warehouse requires manual handling to an estimated maximum of 28 kilos
  • Warehouse operatives are expected to use manual and electric pallet-trucks when required. Full training will be given
  • The role requires a significant amount of walking. The jobholder should have a reasonable level of fitness and should report any conditions that may be aggravated by the required activities
  • VNA training is available after successful completion of probationary period
