As a Production Operative, you`ll work in a cutting-edge packing centre where you`ll help us get thousands of eggs (or other foods) to customers nationwide. Where you come in as a Production Operative… This part of the factory is where you will be packing the eggs carefully into boxes to be shipped off to their destination. They travel down the conveyor belt already in the cartons. You would be checking on the produce. The packaging is created as you go, making this a fast pace role. Once the eggs are boxed, they will be collected and taken to the next step within the warehouse. Fast paced environment.

Physical: The production process requires manual handling to an estimated maximum of 16 kilos. The bedend process requires repetitive bending. Several areas require the use of manual pallet trucks. The jobholder should have a reasonable level of fitness and should report any conditions that may be aggravated by the required activities.

Requirements: Driver with own vehicle – (non-drivers to be located within a 5-mile radius) Team Oriented and a great work drive.

Finance Controller

A full time, permanent position has now become available for a Finance Controller at our Poultry Division in Gainsborough, Lincs.

Reporting to the Finance Director, this position must be filled by a candidate who is ACMA, ACA or ACCA qualified with previous experience in a FMCG manufacturing environment.  The successful candidate must have strong analytical skills, be able to resolve issues proactively and drive change.  Excellent communication skills, high attention to detail, tenacity and determination are key requirements of the role.  The successful applicant will be self-motivated, reliable, enthusiastic, and able to use their own initiative.

Key requirements include:

  • Providing management information and business support to the Poultry Processing division.
  • Managing the weekly, monthly, and forecasting cycles of the business with close links to the central finance function.
  • Providing financial and decision support to supply chain and manufacturing.
  • An understanding of preparing cost and quantitative information to support management in planning and decision making. E.g. Product Costing, Overhead analysis, Forecasting and Budget/3 Year Plan Preparation.
  • Reviewing and challenging the key business processes (stock, ordering, sales and procurement, financial controls, cost control) to move the business forwards.
  • Developing the financial and management information of the business, using the Microsoft Navision system and BI tools.
  • Financial lead for the ONE Noble project.
  • Adhering to weekly, monthly, quarterly, and yearly Group submission timetable.
  • Identifying opportunities to drive profit, working capital improvement and operational cost savings.
  • Responsible for directing and supporting the Management Accountant and Accounts Ledger Clerk.

Engineer

Based in our Packing Centre in Standlake and reporting to the Engineering Manager you will be part of a team ensuring the smooth running of the factory by resolving predominately mechanical and electrical breakdowns, delivering maintenance and driving improvements

The role:

  • To carry out PPM onsite whilst always ensuring that there is a pro-active approach to planned maintenance and a high PPM output
  • Carry out repairs to plant and equipment during production, effectively and efficiently, either alone and/or as part of a team
  • Deliver on plant uptime and maintenance KPIs through planned, preventative & predictive maintenance
  • Deliver improvement work on machinery and site improvement work
  • Ensure Engineering time is managed effectively and that that there is low Engineering down-time

You:

  • Strong engineering experience
  • Hands on ability. This is not a theoretical engineering role
  • Multi-skilled with formal engineering qualification to ONC, NVQ Level 3 or higher, in an electrical or mechanical subject or a Nationally recognised apprenticeship in an engineering discipline

The Role:

Due to internal moves, this role is responsible for carrying out the Engineering Department Site admin, ensuring all records/data is maintained, up to date and audited.

  • Support the Engineering Department with all daily admin tasks, ensuring each Engineer has all required paperwork/information necessary to complete the job
  • Issue and manage company/department policies and procedures
  • Purchase order processing for the maintenance department for engineering supplies/products including site specific requirements using the ‘NAV’ system
  • Maintenance and control of all Contractor information, including completing permits to work.
  • Auditing of work permits to ensure Company Procedures are followed, obtain Risk Assessments/Method Statements when required
  • Update and maintain the diary system for all Engineering Staff
  • Monitoring of all Holiday requests and monitoring entitlement
  • Telephone liaison with internal and external contacts.
  • Complete Inductions with all Maintenance Contractors on an annual basis.
