Where you come in as a Production Operative… This part of the factory is where you will be packing the eggs carefully into boxes to be shipped off to their destination. They travel down the conveyor belt already in the cartons. You would be checking on the produce. The packaging is created as you go, making this a fast pace role. Once the eggs are boxed, they will be collected and taken to the next step within the warehouse. Fast paced environment.

Physical: The production process requires manual handling to an estimated maximum of 16 kilos. The bedend process requires repetitive bending. Several areas require the use of manual pallet trucks. The jobholder should have a reasonable level of fitness and should report any conditions that may be aggravated by the required activities.

Requirements: Driver with own vehicle – (non-drivers to be located within a 5-mile radius) Team Oriented and a great work drive.

Engineer (Days & Nights)

Based in our Packing Centre in Standlake and reporting to the Engineering Manager you will be part of a team ensuring the smooth running of the factory by resolving predominately mechanical and electrical breakdowns, delivering maintenance and driving improvements

The role:

  • To carry out PPM onsite whilst always ensuring that there is a pro-active approach to planned maintenance and a high PPM output
  • Carry out repairs to plant and equipment during production, effectively and efficiently, either alone and/or as part of a team
  • Deliver on plant uptime and maintenance KPIs through planned, preventative & predictive maintenance
  • Deliver improvement work on machinery and site improvement work
  • Ensure Engineering time is managed effectively and that that there is low Engineering down-time

You:

  • Strong engineering experience
  • Hands on ability. This is not a theoretical engineering role
  • Multi-skilled with formal engineering qualification to ONC, NVQ Level 3 or higher, in an electrical or mechanical subject or a Nationally recognised apprenticeship in an engineering discipline

With ambitious growth plans and due to demand we are looking for experienced Farm Auditors to join the team, based in either Scotland, The Midlands or the South West. You will have farm knowledge and be able to set the audit standards.  Continuous improvements to be uploaded to a cloud based system.

HGV Class 1 Driver

A position has become available for a reliable and experienced Class 1 Driver willing to work flexible hours based out of our Gainsborough site.

This job involves shunting vehicles on site and the live collection of poultry from farms located throughout the UK.

Duties will include:

  • shunting vehicles on site
  • vehicle safety inspections and checks
  • safe and efficient travel throughout the UK and Scotland
  • operating a moffett truck
  • unloading modules from the vehicle to allow catching teams to load them with live poultry
  • reloading modules containing live poultry onto the rear of the vehicle
  • responsibility for bird welfare from the point of loading and throughout the journey back to site
  • completion of relevant documentation
  • reporting any issues identified during the collection and throughout the journey back to site to the transport management team
  • compliance with tachograph requirements, vehicle driving requirements and driver’s working hours.
  • Nights out may be required

Duties may also include the distribution of chilled or frozen products throughout the UK

Previous experience transporting live animals or poultry and operating moffett or forklift trucks is preferred but not essential as all training will be provided for these positions.

Reporting to a Regional Director you will provide General Management leadership to a factory-based team across production, planning, engineering, technical, hygiene, despatch and logistics. The plant operates on a single day shift seven days a week. The factory culture is very supportive, and training orientated.
