Our Producers

In addition to our own farms we have long-term relationships with over 325 producers. Some producers have more than one farm supplying Noble, so in total we collect eggs from more than 345 locations from the Highlands of Scotland to Cornwall.

Our producers are mainly family owned farming businesses and many of them also have other farming enterprises such as arable and other livestock.

Noble Foods audit team carry out assessments of our producers’ farms to ensure that they meet the required standards. In addition to our own audits all our producers’ farms are certified and audited by the BEIC Lion Code.  All the Free Range, Barn and Organic farms are also certified and audited by the RSPCA Freedom Food Scheme.  In addition, Organic farms are also certified and audited by one of the Organic certification bodies such as the Organic Food Federation or Organic Farmers & Growers.

We manage a range of customer needs, and our producers are the key to our success.  Each farm produces to a specification tailored to a particular market, with ‘egg pools’ differentiated by variations in range enrichment or feed type. For example, farms may produce on behalf of the happy egg co., Marks and Spencer or Sainsbury’s Woodland scheme.

Our experienced regionally based team of fieldsmen provide consistent support to our producers, from advice in the planning and specification phase of a new project, through to day-to-day technical advice on all topics including feed rations, husbandry, bird welfare and range management. As many of our producers choose to purchase feed and point of lay pullets from Noble, our field team are on hand to provide after sales support through regular farm visits.
