Cambridgeshire Farm Eggs Launched

Local free range egg producers are pleased to announce the launch of Cambridgeshire Farm Eggs in Tesco stores across the county from the 26th February 08

Noble Foods have brought together free range egg producers from across the county to produce "Cambridgeshire Farm Eggs". The 6 locally managed farms can be found across the countys unspoilt countryside and are dedicated to providing all the requirements for happy, healthy hens!

By day the hens roam freely on green pastures and enjoy a vegetarian diet free from artificial yolk colorants. At night they rest and sleep in barns, away from predators. This safe and happy environment is perfect for the hens to produce fresh, tasty, Cambridgeshire eggs.

Noble Foods Marketing Manager, Simon Wilson comments "Consumers are increasingly asking where their food comes from. In response to this interest we have developed a website MyCambsEggs.co.uk that allows consumers to discover where their actual egg was laid and learn about the farm and farmer. So you can rest assured you are getting a genuine Cambs egg"

Sam Nundy, Tesco Buying Manager said "We are very proud to support Local producers and sell Locally produced products. Our Customers tell us they want more local products in Tesco stores and Cambridgeshire Free Range Eggs are a great addition to our ever growing range of East Anglian products in store ranging from Produce, Beers, Cakes etc."

Look out for the packs in Tesco stores across the region.
